Vanda belongs to the monopodial growth. They have aerial roots which help them attached themselves to tree branches or tree trunks. Its attractive purple colour makes it one of the most popular orchids in many people’s collections. Blooms will last 4-6 weeks. The blooming cycle is about 2-3 times a year.
Sunlight: Partial or filtered light. When light is too strong, leaves become light green and extreme light will cause leaf burnt.
Water: twice a daily thoroughly. Ensure the exposed roots absorb sufficient moisture as it turns from white to greenish.
Fertiliser: Recommends slow release nutricote fertilizer with organic lactobacillus Aquis. Good bacteria will promote healthy roots and eventually enhance growth.
Plant size: Approx. 60-70cm (vary in sizes)
